William Pye Water Scupture

Jubilee Fountain

The composition is placed in the middle of New Square, Lincoln's Inn, the central area raised to a level where it can be seen from beyond the square. This creates two water levels, and an additional benefit is that parked cars are partially hidden from view while views of the buildings remain uninterrupted.

At the raised level a circular area provides the setting for a crown of interlacing laminar jets of water. At the base of the jets, two crescent shaped pools serve water spouts from which a smooth flow of water falls into vessels at the lower level. The vessels redirect the flow upwards.
