William Pye Water Scupture

Cascade & Pool

This two level water sculpture is a close relative of Epidavros. The terrace outside the day centre at Trinity Hospice looks out over the beautiful garden, and the sculpture with its hard landscaping leads from one level to the other. Water emerges from a small aperture through brickwork to flow gently along a narrow bronze runnel set flush with the terrace paving, until it reaches a curved bronze weir over which it then descends to a circular pool below. Steps lead one around the cascade and down to the lower pool and garden.
